Well We Did It

We finally did it. We bought a jogging stroller! It only took (well lets see how old is Amaris) 15 months to do it! We've been looking and meaning to get one since she was born, we are the world's slowest buyers! We cracked and just went for it and got the king of all double jogging strollers, the Chariot Cougar. It's big, it's beautiful, and it glides like Elvis Stojko. We got a double for obvious reasons, the last thing we'd want to have to do is get one, just to have to sell it in six months to upgrade to a double! Sheesh that'd take us three years!

The stroller has so many different attachments, you can get two front swivel wheels, one big jogging wheel (the one we got) a trailer hitch for a bike, and hiking harness or a cross country skiing attachment, you can get ski's for it! Both the hiking and skiing one is pulled by you, like dog sled style.

We are super excited, the plan is for David to run and me to bike every night together! I'll tell you how it goes! Funny sidenote, the stroller is designed to just barely fit through the basic doorway, to give maximum space for the two kids in side, but since our house is so old we don't have 'basic' doorways. Yes, we cannot get it into our house.

xoxo have an amazing evening!

Pink Bucket Hat

The weather has been amazing, the past couple days were all about shorts and pink bucket hats. We've tried to spend quite a bit of time outside, I even tried to teach Amaris how to play Bocce, but she couldn't quite grasp the concept! Maybe next year. :)

On a side note, she is totally enthralled by her pretty dress from Grandma Marks, isn't it beautiful? Whenever she sees it hanging in the closet she won't stop begging until I get it down for her, or put her in it. Watching her putter around in it, dancing, so cute!

Little Girl

I finally got around to creating a schedule of sorts, for me and Amaris (in this case 'me and Amaris' is grammatically correct! haha). Anyways, it includes fun things for Amaris like Play Doh and colouring, and fun things for me like clean the bathrooms. I'm trying so hard to get our house into order, and with no friends here, no family, and a husband who works often six days a week, it's all on me! It feels like it's taken all month just to get unpacked! Pregnancy hormones and extreme morning sickness that isn't just in the morning, hasn't helped. Sorry I'm done with my excuses!
So the schedule is going decent, obviously things don't always go according too, but it's the effort that counts.

I also learned a valuable lesson, never let your one year old see you smelling her new smelly markers. Monkey see, monkey do. Except her aim isn't very good. Now we never colour without her shoving the felt pens up her nose and sniffing. If it wasn't so messy, it'd be really cute!

The Three (and a half) Marks

Well I guess I will have to change the name of my blog to 'The Four Marks' as of October 2010! We are expecting October 23rd! I was looking through Amaris' earliest pictures and it started getting me super excited to have another teeny tiny newborn who is not running all over the place but instead will just lie on me and sleep, I miss that. We're super excited to be adding onto our family! The health care in Saskatchewan is aweful, but it'll all work out in the end!

We were so blessed with our first pregnancy to have no complications, and a beautiful healthy girl. I keep praying every it will go the same with this pregnancy, it's so amazing to be blessed with a healthy family. David and I both are hoping for another girl, because Amaris and this baby will be so close in age! We won't be bummed about a boy either though, since we don't have one yet! Basically either way we're pumped!

I'm still super sick, often all day, so i can't wait for that to be over!

Well, off to take care of the child outside of my belly!

Daisy Dukes

Well Amaris got to wear shorts for the first time since last summer, how exciting! I can't even handle how cute it is to watch her chubby little legs run around. She also wears her 'pretty' all the time (the Mardi Gras style necklace) it cracks me up.

She's really developing a personality! She likes to wear her pretty, she's in LOVE with her Daddy, and her stuffed Platypus who we call Pladdy. Original, I know. She gets a meatball sub if we go to subway because she is in love with anything with pasta sauce on it. Her favorite thing in the world is anything round, I hear the word 'ball' about 200 hundred times a day. She uses her left hand more than her right hand, which she has always done. She loves scribbling on a notebook with a pen. She likes it when we draw a 'ball' on her hand, and spends the rest ofthe day pointing to her hand saying 'ball'. She sleeps with her bum in the air (I will be so sad when she stops doing this). She likes being outside more than inside, but dosn't like having dirty hands. She dosn't play with any baby toys except a ride on ice cream truck which she sings alont with. She has a 10 minute attention span. She hates the car, or the truck, because being confined is apparently aweful. She sings 'Down' camethe rain and I just want to be a sheep 'baa baa baa'. She likes to eat whole apples, which she carries around the better half of the day sometimes. She dances like nobody is watching.

Pearls

This morning we found a big box of my jewelry and the Bug thought it was the best thing ever. I love having a girl. It started with the pearl necklace, and then she had to put every single one on, and all the bracelets too. She also did a front flip off the bed this morning and landed spread eagle on her back. She's super tough though, her lip quivered a bit as a cuddled her but she didn't cry. Her pain tolerance is crazy high.
